Practicing developing quick sketch models from loose sketches also called “Napkin Sketches”. My goal is to capture the energy and feel of the original sketch into a 3D Model while staying in the confines of a resolved package. Please feel free to experience more of my projects and samples by exploring the links at the top of the page.

about me

Hi, I’m Daniel and I’m a Product and Vehicle designer. My philosophy is that design should be thoughtful, intuitive and intriguing. I feel good design should easily integrate into our lives. It should be approachable, clever and focus on the needs of the buyer. Good design should be holistic and an asset to the person and the environment as a whole. It is not pretentious or over done. I often see my designs as characters in a scene, in the sense that the form must be appropriate to the function. It should be a seamless and integral part of its environment.

My strengths would be the initial ideation phase of the design process. I’m comfortable generating large quantities of ideas. I have a strong grasp of proportions, graphic breakups, prolific sketches, 3D realization, and unique design solutions.

I enjoy weightlifting, surfing or going for a motorcycle ride through some great scenery. I try to be down to earth, and enjoy simplicity. I am a risk taker, but I also believe balance is key in life. Empathy is a critical component in design, it’s also a big part of being a good person.
